Applied provided the mechanical (HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection) and telecommunications (voice/data, CATV, and CCTV) engineering to build a new Student Services and Activities Complex on the Purdue University campus in Westville, Indiana. The building is 104,000 square feet and consists of both student athletics/fitness areas and large-group assembly spaces.
The student athletics/fitness area includes the campus spectator gymnasium (15,800 SF), fitness area, running track, locker rooms, student organization spaces, multipurpose rooms, and faculty offices. The assembly area consists of a 7,400 SF dividable Great Hall that can hold up to 1,000 people, with supporting lobbies, a satellite kitchen/serving area, and a dock/receiving area. Great Hall will be used for assemblies, conferences, and performances.
The building is connected to campus utilities for steam/condensate, chilled water, domestic/fire water, primary electrical and telecommunications.
