This project included the renovation of approximately 5,700 square feet on the first floor of Columbus Regional Health to develop a Nuclear Medicine Department within the hospital. The existing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems were selectively demolished and replaced, reusing existing equipment whenever feasible. New programmable lighting and sound systems were designed, allowing for customization to help reduce patient anxiety.
The new Nuclear Medicine Department features state-of-the-art equipment, including the Siemens Evo (a Single-Photon Emission Computed Tomography or SPECT camera) and an Intevo (SPECT camera with a CT scanner attached). CRH is the only facility in the region utilizing the SPECT-CT.
