Applied Engineering Services is an Indianapolis-based consulting engineering firm providing mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation engineering services. Our focus is on facilities and utilities engineering for advanced manufacturing, healthcare, higher education, and governmental clients.

Electrical Engineering design expertise includes power, lighting, and telecommunications. Power expertise encompasses power distribution planning and design, substation sizing and configuration, short circuit analysis, system protection and coordination studies, motor starting calculations, grounding systems, lightning protection systems, mechanical and HVAC systems power design, equipment selection and application, cathodic protection systems, emergency power generators and uninterrupted power supply design.

Lighting design encompasses area and task lighting calculations, lighting fixture selection and application and lighting system dimming and control for a variety of building types.

Telecommunications encompasses the application and design of telephone systems, local area networks, fire alarm systems, access control systems and closed circuit television systems.  Applied Engineering Services has two Registered Communications Distribution Designers (RCDD) on staff.
