Applied Engineering Services was founded in 1998. The firm’s six principals and four associates work in the role of managing projects, developing and maintaining client relationships, and managing office responsibilities. These individuals each have a proven background leading projects from conceptual planning through project design and construction.

Applied currently employs 45 individuals, of which 29 are degreed engineers, 15 are professionally registered in the State of Indiana, 12 are LEED Accredited Professionals, 2 are Registered Communications Distribution Designers (RCDD), and 2 are certified commissioning agents (CxA) through AABC’s Commissioning Group.

The mission of Applied Engineering Services is to provide clients with professional engineering services that are reliable, cost-effective, and competent, delivered with honesty, courtesy, and timeliness; to make a fair profit; and to provide a meaningful and constructive work environment for our employees, valuing their health and welfare.

Office Culture

Applied is an engineering service company whose product is professional engineering solutions in the form of written and/or verbal consultation, feasibility studies, engineering/construction sketches, drawings, specifications, project management, validation, construction management, and construction field support. Applied provides professional mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) engineering services "in-house," provides commissioning services and subcontracts other needed services.

Applied was created by the Shareholders with a desire to make a meaningful and forthright contribution to the community by excelling in the design and retrofit of the built environment.

The goal of Applied is to create a profitable company that performs superior work at a fair and competitive price. In expressing this goal, of key importance to the Shareholders is the creation of a superior work environment for the employees. This includes maintaining an efficient and pleasing office space, acquiring the latest technology to perform the work, continually evaluating/updating employee benefits, sharing in profits generated through bonus plans, and the overall creation of a feeling that all of our efforts count.
